Hi guys! Today’s #OOTDOctober post is all about one my favorite trends to pop up this season–the military jacket! From stand collars to cording and crested buttons, these details add just that little extra something to fall outerwear! I hit up Torrid to see what their take on the trend was and they have so. many. options. I linked a few of my favorite military jackets below, so definitely check them out!
I opted for a lightweight burgundy military jacket with black cording and crested buttons. It’s a structured piece, but has stretchy panels at the underarms and sides to allow for a perfect fit. I’m normally not a big fan of details like that but on this jacket, it’s barely noticeable when on the body but makes a world of difference for a great fit! The jacket doesn’t have any closures, so if you want a jacket that buttons up, I would look at other options. I love the way this looks thrown over jeans and a plain white t-shirt though! It’s the perfect jacket to casually dress up a look.
I love the contrast between the structured jacket with these distressed jeans. I have short legs, so I appreciate that these are available in 5 different inseams–extra tall, tall, regular, short, and extra short! So genius. I opted to pair these with my favorite go-to heels, but I think this would look just as cute for colder temps with some OTK boots or ankle booties!
