HOLIDAY OUTFIT IDEAS - PLUS SIZE

Hey guys, Happy Holidays! I’m so excited that Christmas is just around the corner. We’ve been doing all sorts of seasonal activities like tree-lightings, cookie-eating (lots of cookie-eating), shopping, and watching way too many holiday movies! On top of these festive outings, we also have a couple holiday parties coming up, so I thought I’d get a head start on picking my holiday outfit(s) to share with you guys!

The party coming up fastest for me is my office’s holiday dinner, so I partnered with Macy’s to find the perfect on-trend, festive look! I hit up The Edit on Macys.com to check out their picks for plus size holiday dressing and loved so many items! I wanted a bit of color, but to still look classic and chic, so I opted for this burgundy dress from City Chic. I love the velvety flocking and that the pattern is a bit different than a traditional floral! The dress is well-constructed and great quality, and I know I’ll be wearing this for years since it’s such a timeless design. Since it’s been chilly at night, I paired it with a lace detailed, peplum zip up jacket, also from City Chic! I love that the lace details allow you to see the color of the dress through the jacket. Since it’s a peplum cut, it works great for accentuating your waist and accommodating hips! This jacket would look just as amazing with a white tank top and jeans for a casual, daytime look, or paired with a blouse and pants or pencil skirt for a chic work outfit.

Since the event is at night, I’m dressing my holiday outfit up a bit with sparkly drop earrings and a velvet bag! I don’t have pierced ears so I love that Macy’s has a great selection of clip-on earrings. This pair from Anne Klein is super comfortable to wear, too! I’ve been on the hunt for a cute day-to-night bag and this Nine West velvet number fits the bill perfectly. It’s large enough to fit all the essentials, but still dressy enough to transition to dinner seamlessly! To add an extra festive touch to the outfit, I opted for a pair of statement heels from INC International Concepts–how gorgeous are those bow details?! Talk about the perfect way to leave a lasting impression!
