[ :: Julep Helena nail polish ::]

I’ve been obsessed with this hot pink skirt of late. I loved the one Gap was selling, but theirs only went up to a size 14 (sad face). Thankfully, I found this amazing one from Old Navy (up to size 20), and of course, since it’s Old Navy, it was wayyy inexpensive, at less than $25! Love. Paired the skirt with a super stark black and white sweater–I love how the vibrant all the colors look together. πŸ˜€ Also wearing the bracelet my sis bought for me for Christmas. β™₯!

I’ve also recently become a nail polish-aholic. I’ve added maybe 11 polishes within the last month! Scary, but I love them all! Most of my new colors are from Julep, one of those nifty little box-a-month dealios. I can tell my membership is going to be dangerous. lol! Also, if you guys know of good nail polish blogs (with swatches, reviews, etc), definitely let me know! I have some catching up to do. πŸ˜‰

Anyway, let me know what you think of the skirt! It’s a step out of my comfort zone but I love it! πŸ˜€

Thanks for reading! πŸ™‚

Yours, Etc.

P.S. Just updated my blogshop with a bunch of new items! Shooting to add 5 items to it each night. I had a MASSIVE closet clean out and have over 100 items to post! Wish me luck! πŸ˜›

P.P.S. Blogger finally updated their commenting system to have threaded comments, so I can finally respond to you guys! Woohoo! If you have any questions, feel free to ask there and I’ll get back to you. πŸ˜€

    *Sigh* This outfit really makes me wish I live in SoCal. It is snowy and cold here in Detroit. I also feel you on the nail polish obsession. My sister is in school to be a nail tech so she always has new colors and I always find ones for her as well. I'm really hoping to wear more color and dresses/skirts this Spring and Summer. Maybe this is the way to go. πŸ˜€

      Aw yeah, I love SoCal, but think of it this way–you get to wear all the cute coats and boots! We have maybe a month of boot/coat-appropriate weather a year here. πŸ˜› Also, jealous about the polish hookup! hahaha πŸ™‚

    I love this hot pink skirt, I've always been a big fan of Old Navy, people have made fun of me about it but Old Navy is pretty awesome. I love pairing stripes, especially black and white stripes, with vibrant colors – specifically hot pink. Good luck with the closet clean out, just last night I was trying on clothes I had stuffed in various places (luggage, corners of the closet) and was pleasantly surprised and also saddened by the ones that no longer fit. You look gorgeous!

      Haha Old Navy has some really cute basics! And you can't beat it for the price. Not exactly investment pieces but stuff you're only going to wear for a season or two? you can't go wrong. πŸ™‚

      Re: closet cleaning, don't be sad about the stuff that doesn't fit! Just sell or donate them (I donated 2 GIANT bagfuls to goodwill already), and think of it as making room for pretty new things! πŸ™‚

    Your lovely maxi skirt is so boldly colored. "Pop" of color is an understatement; that's an explosion of color, offsetting the black and white colors. The usual Allison allure is punctuated by your lovely necklace and those wedge sandals. Great looks, as always!

      Online shopping is such a lifesaver! πŸ™‚ My normal Old Navy size fit but was too short (I'm 5'8"), so I sized up to wear it lower on my hips (it's now a little too big though.) If you're on the shorter side, you can definitely just buy your normal size! πŸ™‚

    That skirt is fantastic. I am loving all the neon and bright colors I see coming out for spring. I don't think I'm bold enough to wear a hot pink skirt, but I'm definitely eyeing some neon accessories.

    Love the skirt. Love the outfit. If anyone is looking for the skirt Gap has one (probably the same exact one since they are the same company) on final clearance. I just bought it for $12.00. Can't wait to style it!

    I really like your outfit! The colors pair nicely together! Bold-colored skirts like these tend to scare me, but now I think I should try out a few.
