FALL OUTFIT IDEAS FOR DAY AND NIGHT

Fall is officially in full swing, and I can’t tell you how excited I am! It’s currently raining like crazy here in SoCal, and I can’t think of anything better than boots to beat the chill! What better way is there to celebrate the change in seasons, than with two outfits in one post? 🙂

Today I’m partnering up with Kohl’s to show you guys two fall looks–one that’s perfect for day, and another that’s great for a night out!

For day, I can’t think of a more fall-appropriate look than a sparkly sweater, skinny jeans, and some riding boots. Simple, classic, and comfortable! Since the sweater is quite lightweight, I added a big blanket scarf to up the coziness factor. I love that the pink plaid ties into the blush hue of the sweater!

Riding boots are a must in any fall wardrobe and I love this pair from Apt 9 because they fit like a glove! I have wide calves (17.75″ circumference) but these regular calf boots fit perfectly, even over jeans. That’s why I always say to try things on, even when they aren’t labeled plus size or wide calf!

For evenings out, I’m currently loving a great pair of over the knee boots! These OTK wide calf boots from Journee fit like a glove and go with all of my shorter dresses–I’m in love! I opted to pair the boots with this statement print dress from Simply Vera Vera Wang, which has a gorgeous abstract print that really dresses up the simple sheath style. The Simply Vera Vera Wang line at Kohl’s is probably my favorite of their brands–it’s simple, chic, and sophisticated! Perfect for finding dressier pieces on a budget. I kept my accessories simple with a scalloped, laser cut bag, perfect for holding just the essentials on a hands-free night out!
