Stepping outside the box (and into some workout clothes)!
Athleisure was a concept I struggled with for a long time. As a girly girl wearing pretty much only dresses and skirts with the occasional pair of skinny jeans, the idea of wearing sweats or gym clothes out in public struck me as a little odd. It wasn’t until I was cleaning out my closet and workout gear that I realized why–all my workout clothes were boring! Oversized plain tees with black workout pants were the norm. Functional, but like I said, boring.
When Kohl’s gave me the opportunity to check out pieces from their Tekgear Plus line, I knew I wanted to take a slightly more streetwear approach to the styling! In order to take the athletic pieces in a more daywear-appropriate direction, I looked for pieces I could layer to add dimension, interesting patterns and details, and accessories with a punch!

Very cute! I always seem to struggle with styling workout wear into daytime wear!
Love the outfit and I'm the same way I wear too many dresses to wear workout clothes in public only the exception of my ballet clothes after class. The pants do seem lovely.

I just found your blog and I'm already in love. Those workout leggings are just adorable. I love the subtle print. I never knew Kohl's carried something like this! You wear them well, too. Kohl's, if you're reading, good choice with this girl! I definitely want to go to Kohl's and get this look.
I have a pair of pretty cute workout leggings from VS that I actually wear under a plain dress and get compliments on all the time! Sometimes its cool to mix athletic and day wear back and forth. It sounds weird but with the right prints or style it works out.

Do they carry the plus size in stores? I have been looking for workout gear for the gym and didn't see this at my local Kohl's.
Yes they do! I have three Kohl's near me and they all carry it, I've bought a ton of pieces!
Wow, this really really works. Great job and especially the workout leggings. It's funny i love your style, but I'm not much of a girly girl persay like you were saying you are. My style really mixes between feminine and masculine, but I still really love getting inspired by your posts bc we have similarities. I love that you love prints and you don't shy away from colors. Two of my favorite things.
