With Mother’s Day right around the corner, I’ve teamed up with Gwynnie Bee to share an outfit inspired by my mom!My mom is everything. She’s smart, funny, beautiful, stylish, and unapologetically sassy. Seriously. Good luck getting into an argument with her because she will always come out on top, with you still trying to come up with a comeback 10 minutes later.
Some of my earliest fashion memories with my mom involve trips to department stores to window shop (with my sister and I really just playing inside of the clothing racks), and to Laura Ashley to get matching floral jumpsuits for me and my sister, which we thought were the ish back in the day!
With a business to run and two bratty little kids to take care of (actually, just one brat…I’ll let you guess who the bratty one was), my mom’s personal style was always practical and geared toward getting things done. In recent years though, she’s been able to really explore her personal style. She’s embraced more colors, prints, and feminine styles, and is now almost always in a pretty printed sheath or fit and flare dress, and has some of the most AMAZING accessories. She also rocks a hat like nobody’s business!
In honor of her classy and fabulous sense of style, I opted for this mixed print fit & flare dress from Gwynnie Bee. It gives me Fifth Ave vibes but in a fun and updated way. Since my mom is known for her ability to accessorize, I went all out with a statement necklace, floppy hat, and a timeless bag!
