#OOTDOctober 11: NOVELTY JEANS

I’ve been on the hunt for cool pieces to update my fall wardrobe and one of my favorite trends I’ve been seeing is embellished and novelty jeans! I love the way they amp up a simple, go-to jeans and tee look into something a bit more special. This pair from William Rast at Macy’s is such a gorgeous way to ease your way into the trend since the print is on the darker side and a bit more subtle than some of the brighter options available! These jeans are my first from the brand, and I’m so pleased with the quality! The denim is nice and sturdy, and doesn’t feel like it will stretch out with repeated wear. Another trend being featured on Macy’s It List is the Ultimate Third Layer and you guys KNOW how much I love a good jacket, so I knew I had to feature this trend in this look! I’ve worn and loved City Chic for years now, and this whipstitched moto jacket is probably my favorite piece I’ve ever owned from the brand! It’s faux leather, a slate gray color, and such a lovely fit! It’s the perfect topper for dresses and jeans alike.

Since the jeans I’m rocking in this look are such a statement on their own, I opted to keep the look streamlined with a plain white tee (this one is insanely soft!), my favorite black pumps, and this INC International Concepts hobo that holds SO much!
