PLUS SIZE FALL LOOKBOOK WITH JCPENNEY

Without a doubt, my favorite season for dressing is fall. The warm, rich colors, chic layers, boots, and denim are all a girl really wants to wear after being relegated to lightweight, one-piece outfits for four very hot months! Every season, I like to pick up a few new looks to incorporate into my wardrobe, and this year, I’m partnering with JCPenney to showcase four outfit ideas perfect for the fall season! The first look is one of my favorite fall outfit formulas. The combination of a long sweater, flowy tank top, skinny jeans, and ankle boots is one of the easiest looks to transition into the fall season with, and it’s perfect for a myriad of fall activities, be it pumpkin patch-visiting, apple-picking, or cider-drinking! Can you tell I’m excited for fall? 😀 haha! The bold burgundy hue of the sweater is right on trend for fall, and it will be the perfect layering piece over all your outfits this season!

This next look is for all my dress-lovers out there (like me!). Fall usually means lots of denim, long pants, and covered legs, so I thought it would be fun to mix it up with a fall-appropriate dress look! I love a great floral dress, and styling one with an olive green anorak and ankle boots is the perfect way to make it feel a little more “fall.” Layers are key to any fall look, so I already know this jacket will be a favorite of mine in the coming months!

The third look is probably my favorite of the bunch because it’s the perfect dressed-up-but-not-too-dressed-up outfit! I’m a sucker for over-the-knee boots paired with skinny jeans, and one of my favorite trends for this season is tweed and boucle outerwear! This jacket from Worthington is the perfect layering piece, equally well-paired with denim for a casual look, or a pencil skirt for work. It’s unlined, so it’s on the lighter side (great for SoCal fall weather), and the gold-trimmed, pearl buttons are such an elegant touch!

The last fall look features more of a trend item! I’ve been seeing this prairie-style midi dress all over and I thought it would be a fun way to feature one of my favorite fall trends–dark florals! I love the ruffles and mixed prints on the dress–it might not be for everyone, but it’s a fun piece to experiment with for the season! I think it would look super cute toughened up a bit with a black leather moto jacket for evening!
