As a woman who works an 8-to-5, I’m always on the lookout for great, statement making pieces that work for the office! I actually had no idea that Kohl’s carried plus sizes until they reached out and asked me to check out their Rock & Republic and Jennifer Lopez lines, and honestly, I’m really glad I did! 





I love the graphic pattern on this dress. It’s described as “ikat” on the website but it feels almost like a modern animal print to me (but maybe I’m just weird). It’s a statement-making pattern for sure, but the silhouette is conservative enough for most corporate environments. Who says workwear has to be boring?!

    I would buy a lot of spring dresses for myself as in the one your wearing. I also I would buy my daughter some spring outfits from the toddler section. Kohls has the best deal on toddler clothings and mix and match I love the local store 2 mins from my house..

    Hey, I'm not here for the giveaway since there's no Kohl's in my country but I just want to say that it's always great to see some office-appropriate plus size style featured! I follow so many PS bloggers and yeah, it's cool to see their beach wear, gowns, crop tops, cut-out skirts, all-white outfits etc. However, as a career lady, I'm in office wear five days a week and can use more inspiration for my ordinary life. Thanks for being one of the few who posts outfits to wear to a traditional office job.

    Kohl's has definitely been one of my favorite places to shop lately. I've been everywhere from straight sizes, plus sizes, and cusp sizes, and Kohl's has always had something to suit my needs.
    If I won the giveaway, I'd by myself some cute workout gear and some skirts — my wardrobe is HURTING for them right now!

    Not going to lie, I'd probably snap up that JLo dress, too, as I love all things ikat (though I see the deconstructed abstract animal print you see, too). I'd also get a sheath dress (maybe the Dana Buchman colorblock) and a fit and flare or two since you can never have too many. With the right accessories and layering, those dresses could take me from the office to brunch out with friends and family. Love your necklace by the way! So elegant.

    Glad to see Kohl's paying attention to plus sizes. Just wish they had a better in-store selection! Especially in career clothing… I would love to find some blazers and tops there, in bright colors – my wardrobe has become a mass of black and gray, and needs some spicing up!

    Over the years I have collected ikat textiles from Java, Indonesia. They are amazing handmade woven cottons that can take a month to finish. I love this black and white print imitation of the weave. It looks smart and professional. Love the coordinating jacket. Really nice.

    I will be graduating college with a degree in healthcare administration in three months! For the past 7 years I have wore scrub sets to work! I literally do not own one piece of office attire. With all the extra expenses ( tuition!) …the Kohls gift card will help me start aquiring my office basics( skirts, dresses, blazers) ect:) Adding office attire to my current wardrobe would increase my confidence (GREATLY) when searching for employment in my new career field!

    Thank you for celebrating Asian American curviness on your blog! Please know that is is appreciated. I am an early career scholar so affordability, style, fit, and comfort are important to me. I'm a fan of Kohl's. When I shop I try to look for pieces that transition well between the classroom, the office, and conferences, too. Your advice on this blog helps me with that. If I had a chance to pick some lovely clothes that do triple the work I'd go for this look: the Studio One Solid Sheath Dress in olive green that has great little embellishments on the shoulder, the Easy Street Havana Wedge sandals in black nude patent ( bold,low wedge, works all day!), and the Dana Buchman Solid open-front shrug ( it looks like a blazer but has the comfort of a shrug). emilyhue1@gmail.com

    I would love the gift card I am in dire need of clothing. See last month marked my goal of 40lbs lost!! I changed my life entirely by stopping eating certain foods, as well as giving up soda…wahhhh!! I walk 2 miles every morning and do 30mins of cardio every evening. Now there are plenty of great side effect to weight loss. The #1 being the wonderful self confidence, from completing such a monumental goal. I have been carrying that baby weight for years! Back down to 155 yipee!! The one bad side effect is that none of my clothes fit me any more!! Wahhh!! I'm happy about the shopping of course, but my wallet is not!! This gift card would be a great start, to a new fitting wardrobe. I'll be crossing my fingers!!
