Without a doubt, the holidays are my favorite time of year. The Hallmark holiday movies, family and friends getting together, parties, hot cocoa, and just a general sense of festiveness make for such a lovely couple months! The holidays are also my favorite season to dress for, since it’s finally cool enough in SoCal to wear layers without sweating. LOL! The added luxe textures like knits, lace, leather, and sparkly bits are also so fun to break out for he holidays.
This head to toe look from Lane Bryant would be perfect for a holiday office party–put together and professional, but still festive and fun! I love that this gorgeous green lace dress is swishy and pleated, with a cool color blocking detail. This modern blazer is SO chic, with it’s longline cut, gold-rimmed buttons, and leather lapel. I opted for simple strappy black heels that are comfortable enough to walk around and dance in (ESSENTIAL), and a super sparkly statement necklace decked out in stars! Each of these pieces can easily be remixed for a different occasion–I’ve already worn the blazer with a slouchy white tee and jeans, as well as over a lace top and midi skirt combo! The dress would look so fun with a leather jacket and ankle boots for a slightly dressed down vibe, too!
