Okay, yes, I AM SO LATE to this party. In my defense, I saw how quickly the Girl With Curves x Lane Bryant collaboration sold out, and I didn’t want to disappoint you guys with stuff not being available so I held off on posting this! To my surprise, this dress from the Girl With Curves collection is still in stock in most sizes, and on sale for 30% off, to boot! I don’t know why you guys are all sleeping on this dress though–it’s sooo cute (hello purple leopard print!!!) and the quality is pretty fantastic. One of my favorite details is the inclusion of hidden buttons along the placket that ensure there is no gapping at the chest! It’s my first time seeing this detail used to address what is an insanely common issue with plus size shirts and dresses and I’m SO HERE FOR IT. You go, Tanesha and LB!
The style of this dress is so timeless, and I love that the trendy leopard print isn’t overwhelming. I feel like you could keep wearing this season after season! Once it gets colder, I’ll definitely pair it with a midi coat or leather jacket. This is a great piece to wear to work then easily transition to happy hour with the addition of some accessories and maybe a change of shoes.
I opted to style this dress for a casual night out with a pair of wide width sock boots, a sparkly statement necklace, and my coco handle. I opted to button the dress all the way up for a bit of a cutesier vibe, but it looks just as good unbuttoned a bit to show a little skin!
