GINGHAM DARLING

It officially feels like summer in Cali and you guys know, summer fashion calls for a little more skin, some fabulous prints, and colorful details! It seems like every item I’ve been purchasing lately is off-shoulder, printed, or brightly colored. I did some shopping of RACHEL Rachel Roy‘s latest collection at Macy’s and scored this absolutely amazing gingham, off-shoulder dress, which is giving me all sorts of summer brunch vibes! I love the mixed scales of gingham, which make the dress feel updated and current. I also love that the fit isn’t super flared–it hugs curves in all the right places, which helps keep the print from feeling overwhelming! The photos don’t do the fabric justice, either. It’s a beautiful, nubby material, which adds dimension and texture to an already gorgeous dress!

I opted to style the dress with a bright but understated pair of heels, and added these tasseled earrings for a little fun! A straw bag is a summer wardrobe essential, and the perfect finishing touch to a summer daytime look. You could easily swap the accessories out to transition this dress for evening–just style the dress with a pair of black heels, a light leather jacket, and some statement earrings for a summer night time look!
