east coast basics

As much of a California girl as I am, there are a few “east coast” things I will never get rid of:
(1)Black boots cool enough to make a statement, but comfortable enough to last a day of walking
(2)Black leather jacket to give any outfit just a little edge
(3) All things studded
People around me are perpetually in surf brands, flip flops, and shorts, so obviously, black leather and studs can feel a little out of place. I grew up with and love the beach-y, casual, boho look, but the above things are just a few trends that’ll never get old to me.

Are there things that you’ll never let go of, no matter where you are? Or am I just kinda crazy? lol!

Yours, Etc.

P.S. Self mandated shopping ban in the works. No shopping until the end of April! Thaaaat’s…..40 days. I can totally do this……right? =/

Where have you been all of my life! I love everything about this outfit, especially the shoes! Super cute and stylish. I'd pair it with some bright red lips, but thats only because I'm going through a red lip phase right now. Very lovely indeed 🙂

I could never give up black! Or flat shoes, because I tend to wobble on heels. And seriously, your hair is so gorgeous I'm surprised you don't feel my envy from across the US.

OMG I love this outfit! So well-coordinated! Everything is working together really well. And you know what? You are awesome at posing! So photogenic. I have my own curvy blog, and I definitely need to work on that. I still feel a little uncomfortable in front of the camera :S

I would love for you to check out my blog! I've been working hard at it for the past couple of months. I added you to my blog roll because you're awesome.

First of all, you look great! I love your outfit. It's def something I'd wear and I'm from BK, NY. As I was looking at the pics, I thought it was interesting to see so much black against such a nice green garden. But I see you like the "east coast" look. It looks great and it never hurts to be different.

I LOVE this look. Everything about it screams that chic – ya know the one that walks into a room and doesn't have to say a word. U have inspired me to get me a rocker chic look going. I want the speechless effect on a hot girls night.

So, frustration is taking over. I saw your blog for the first time about an hour ago, and I can't seem to leave. And I'm okay with that. But, the fact that I can't find a decent plus size leather jacket ANYWHERE, and I keep seeing yours EVERYWHERE is totally driving me crazy. Gahhhh.
