If I could only wear one outfit for the rest of my life, it would be a dress. While trends and styles come and go, I will always feel most like myself in a dress! The styles I gravitate toward most tend to be classic pieces that feel like they’ll never go out of fashion, therefore they tend to be the pieces I’m most willing to invest in to build out my wardrobe! After having one too many “fast fashion” pieces fall apart on me after a couple wears, I’ve learned that it’s always worth it to invest in well-made, quality pieces if you can! As a plus size woman, that can sometimes feel frustrating since high-end designers haven’t always catered to plus size bodies (often stopping at a size 10 or 12), but 11 Honore has helped bridge that gap by working with high-end and luxury designers to extend their sizes!
11 Honore has curated plus size pieces from some of the most coveted designers in the world, including Christian Siriano, Jason Wu, Altuzzara, Prabal Gurung, Mary Katrantzou, and one of my personal favorites (and designer of the dress I’m wearing!), Tanya Taylor. The Inez dress is the perfect piece for all my upcoming summer events and is one of the most beautifully-made items I own. The gold trimmed buttons and watercolor print are just the cherry on top of a stunning, linen-cotton dress. I can’t wait to wear this when I’m in Italy and Napa Valley this summer! A couple fit notes about this dress–I’m wearing a size 20, which I found to be generous. Not quite enough to size down to an 18, but if you’re between sizes, I would opt for a size down!
