Anyway, I originally set out to write a post on finding great plus size shorts--that, however, turned into a hunt for the best plus size rompers! I mean really, how more fun are these things?! They're so comfortable and easy to wear (like the summer dress, but you don't have to worry about your skirt flying around!)
It definitely wasn't that easy to find cute and flattering rompers in plus sizes--the best designs came from Dorothy Perkins and Torrid--others just seemed to fall a little flat (ahem, Faith21 and Old Navy.)
These were my favorite picks!

I love all the gorgeous details on these--lace, stripes, florals (not for me, but still cute!), and ties. So fabulous! :)
Yes, the cheetah one is technically categorized as lingerie. but whatever, it's the cutest one here! Also, I would wear the chambray one a little differently... pull the shorts section down so there isn't that big blouson top, and cuff the shorts. I think it would be way cuter and more flattering.
I really wish this photo were higher resolution/sharper or something. It really doesn't do this item justice! See it on Devon of FatNurse blog, here. (She doesn't like it much on herself but I think she looks great!)
I love shiny gold buttons!
What do you oh-so-fashionable ladies think? Will you be wearing the trend??

I love the whole romper trend! I need to see how I feel when I wear them before making a real decision...I think I would pair them with a pair of colored nylons:D

oooh! I love the stripy pair from DP & I agree that Devon just looks like the epitome of cute in her Jens Fashion Plus pair. I have a couple, but all for sleeping, none for outdoors... not sure if I'm brave enough yet!
ReplyDelete@Gabi bright nylons would be AMAZING with these!!! That's an awesome idea--If you do, pretty please post photos! I would love to see! :)
ReplyDelete@lillipilli I'm sure any of these would look amazing on you! Your style is fabulous and original so I know you'd make a gorgeous outfit out of it!
Rompers...um i dunno how i feel about them ..I know i wouldnt wear them..im yet to be converted ..
ReplyDelete@Matron-Jo I'm going to test drive the look by layering something over the romper--probably going to go with a strapless one and layering a sheer slub T over it. We'll see how it goes! :)
ReplyDeleteI got one last year and i wore it to sleep and it was very comfortable. I saw one from the faith 21 line last week and i wanted to try it on but didn't want to cuz im broke. haha But i would for sure get it if it looks right one me.
